Halloween

We didnt do a whole lot for halloween. On friday night we had the Maxwells party down in Lehi and then Saturday (halloween) we had my families. It was fun to see everyone dressed up. Clay and I decided to go as a pilot and flight attendant. Nothing too fancy, but we always wait til the last minute to get our costumes together. Halloween night we went to the U of U game with our friend Jessi. It was actually a really good game. I dressed all warm thinking it was going to be freezing, but it actually wasn't too bad. We had a good time.

The Past 3 Months

I dont even know where to begin, a lot has happened since I last blogged in July. Clay and I had our 2 year anniversary in the end of September and we decided to take a trip to California. We spend a few days at Disneyland. It was so much fun! I loved going there as a kid, but neither clay or I had been since we were little and I think I probably enjoyed it just as much!

After we got back from our trip to Disneyland we had to start packing because Clay and I were going to be moving in a couple a weeks. We found out about this house from a girl I went to hair school with. Its a cute little house in Riverton and it works perfect for us! We hope to have visiters come over now since its a little easier to accomidate guest :) We are both so thankful for my parents for letting us stay with them for a year. I wouldn't trade the time we had together for anything. Anyway, here are some pictues of our new place!

Pirate visit

My sister Rachel is still here from Texas and her 3 little boys are so cute! The oldest boy Boston, who is turning 10 this year is really into writing and he LOVES underdog. Well Boston has been writing Clay and I these secret notes from "anonymous" people. But every note was written in the same handwriting and on the same paper. We'd let him think he had us fooled for a couple of days but then tell him we figured out the mystery and knew it was him. After we kept getting anonymous letters I decided that Clay and I should do some of our own to Boston and his little brother Elliott. So last night we put together a scavenger hunt for the boys. When we returned home from the Riverton fireworks there was a letter/clue that we had put together and the clue was from a pirate. We even went out of our way to burn the edges of the paper and make it look all tattered and Clay and I took turns writing back and forth so they wouldn't recognize our hand writing. The boys were so excited but were kind of suspicious that we did it, but they changed their mind after giving us a hand writing test. The first clue we gave them said that their next clue would be there in the morning. Boston woke up early and was begging his mom to come downstairs and search for the clue, but said he had to wait for Elliott to wake up. A few hours later, the boys found the clue which told them the next clue would be here after church. They were so antsy at church it was so hard to keep a strait face. Clay left for a few minutes during church to go home and put the final clue up, which he stabbed in a tree with a plastic knife ha.They ran as fast as they could when they saw the final clue which lead them to a buried treasure in back yard. I took some pictures with their treasures and clues that they got. They still have no idea it was us, and Elliott is positive that is was a REAL PIRATE!!! Oh I cant wait for us to have our own kids so we can do fun stuff like this with them!

The second clue stabbed in the tree

The clues that we made, its kinda hard to see the detail but they turned out awesome!

Over the hill party

The age difference between me and my oldest brother is 20 years. Its hard for me to find things in common with him sometimes because we are on total difference chapters of our lives. He just turned 40, and has 5 children and his oldest child is 12 years old. I was only 3 when he and my sister-in-law got married. He is a good big brother even though we have that age difference, he is out of town a lot for business but he still takes time out of his busy schedule to give me and clay a nice call on our birthday. I look up to him, hopefully one day we can have a life like his.
The siblings and their spouses got together Monday night and went to Texas Roadhouse. It was a real fun time, they made my brother get on the saddle and ride it while we yelled y-e-e-h-a-h! It was so funny because my brother is kind of conservative, you could tell that he hated every minute of it. I couldn't pass up posting a picture of him on the saddle... its not the best picture, but you can still see him

Happy Birthday big brother! Thanks for being such a good example.

Time flies by...

I know I haven't blogged for awhile, life has been pretty hectic. I'm still at the Salon in Riverton, things are going good. I just need to keep telling myself that I need to be patient to build a clientele. Its harder than I thought. Clay and I have been trying to decide where our life is headed and what we want to do. We still live in my parents basement, and would like to move soon, so if anyone knows of a nice place to live, let me know. The past month has been full of stuff. My sister is here from Texas for a month, which is nice to have her here, but the house is crazy and hectic sometimes.

At our reception my friend Alexa caught the bouquet. I was the first friend to get married and so it was destined to be Alexa next to get married.... Well after 2 other friend marriages and almost 2 years later, Alexa got Married on June 10th! I got to do her hair for her wedding and she married such an amazing guy. They are perfect for each other. Clay actually knew her husband in school. So hopefully we can hang out alot since we are both young couples and get along well. Here are some pictures of the wedding and her cute hair.

The cake
When clay and I got married he was so nice and lightly fed my my cake, but then I shoved it in his face ( I was tempted by my niece, who kept yelling "Put it in his face!" lol) well Nick shoved it in Alexa's face, it was pretty funny

The car
Congratulations Nick and Alexa we love you both!

Weekend at the Cabin

Clay and I went to my family's cabin with our friends Jess and John, and Michal and Jameson and their cute girl Jayah. We had fun going down the zip line and shooting BB guns! :) I hadn't ever shot one, so it took me awhile to get the hang of it. But then I actually started hitting the targets. I was pretty proud! :) Since I had been on the zip line before and for many years, I decided to let our friends and Clay ride it because they haven't ever had the chance. So I got to watch cute Jayah and we rode on the swing and watched everyone ride the zip line from the cabin down to us. I really wanted to sleep outside on the deck while we were there and Clay was up for it, until we started telling scary stories and he got nervous so we ended up sleeping inside. ha But it was such a nice and relaxing trip. We love our friends and hopefully we'll be going back up there in a couple weeks. Here's some pictures of our fun time up at the Cabin.
